Best Outfits To Hide Belly Fat And Still Look Good
I really want that flat stomach that accents my waist line and makes me feel like a coke bottle. But the truth is when I look in the mirror, I see a 2-liter. I have been trying to get back into working out and eating right, but as we all know, they haven’t invented the secret drink yet to shrink that waist line over night. Even though I may not feel my best, I can still look good. So if you are a new mommy or just deal with the stubborn belly fat like me, here are a few tips to pick the best outfit to hide belly fat and still allow you to look amazing.

1. Don’t wear anything tight. Avoid the bodycon and the form fitting shirts and dresses.
These types of outfits will expose the belly fat and rolls with no remorse. Lol. Even though, I love form fitting clothes, it just doesn’t hide the belly fat.
2. Choose outfits with ruching or draping to hide belly fat.
Ruching and draping helps to hide the stomach and takes the attention away from the midsection.
3. Don’t be afraid to layer your outfits.
Layering is actually a great way to disguise the belly area. The trick is to have two different lengths. If your shirt is short, throw on a longer jacket or cardigan. Or if your shirt is long, grab a short jacket. The two different lengths work together to take the attention off the midsection.
4. Leggings, Leggings, and More Leggings
A girl’s best friend in any season. There are so many types of leggings that work well for many body types and they hold everything together for you. I especially like the high waisted ones. And don’t be afraid of textured leggings, they provide a good camaflouge.

5. Wear looser, longer shirts
Wearing a looser top will allow you to be more comfortable and help you look good because it does not show your larger middle section. The length of the top will give you great coverage so if you raise your arms, your precious belly won’t fall out the bottom and expose all your secrets. Loose fitting shirts are great for going out to dinner too, because you can eat really good and no one will ever know. Lol. Pair them with high waisted textured leggings or a great pair of jeans to complete the look.

6. Choose Patterns and Vertical Lines
Patterns are a good way to hide belly fat because the busyness of the pattern does not allow your eyes to focus on your belly area, instead the eyes will pick up all the detail in the shirt. Vertical lines will help you to appear slimmer. The elongation of the line stretches you and makes you look a little more lean. While a horizontal line will make you look wide.
7. Accent the things you like.
If you have amazing boobs, throw on a v-neck shirt to accent your breast. This will draw attention away from your stomach. If you feel your booty is popping, grab the jeans that accent it.
8. Wear a Kimono or a Duster
These beautiful cover ups are great fashion statements. They scream style as they allow you to cover up the areas that you may not want to expose. They can also be worn in any season and have many different style options which are perfect for covering the belly fat.

9. Drape a scarf that falls at the midsection.
A scarf or even a long necklace does a good job at making your outfit stylish and disguising the midsection.
10. Maxi Dresses or Flowing/Swing Dresses
These are the best for summer and fall. The free flow of the dress allows you to be comfortable and still look flattering. When the weather cools off, just throw a jacket over your dress and be ready for any season!

Bonus: Tummy Trimmer / Waist Trainer
If you do want to wear something a little more form fitting, use a tummy trimmer or waist trainer to hold that fat in. They work wonders. You just have to find the correct size for your body type.

I really hope these tips have helped you and will allow you to be confident in your style, even though there is a little extra weight in the midsection. Just remember you are not the only one with belly fat, and if you need a reminder, scroll up…because yes girl, that’s really me!! Lol. Be confident, do style your way and love what you wear.
