How to be confident in you

Hey Ladies!! Hope your day is going well. Today we are discussing being confident in you and what you have going on. I had a conversation with someone that made me realize I must be confident in what I want and not allow others to sway my ideas. Has this ever happened to you?

The conversation was about an idea I had for the blog and business. Before I could get the idea fully out, a loving family member came back with a negative response. Now this is a close family member so I knew that it came from love, but came off very discouraging. It made me second guess if my idea was okay. Am I on the right track? Am I doing the right thing? Maybe I should throw that idea out. All of these thoughts were okay to have because it made me analyze the process, but it also made me second guess my confidence.

The second guessing is not necessarily a bad thing. Second guessing allows you to analyze how great you are and to reposition yourself for more because you know you deserve it. It’s easy to let our confidence slip in any area of life, but here are a few ways to snap your fingers, come back to reality and get that confidence back up again!

1. Don’t take NO for an answer.

Be confident and don’t back down from things so quickly. Accepting NO as an answer right away is shutting you down and not allowing you to exercise your greatness and prove yourself for deserving a yes!

2. Set your goal and speak it into existence.

Positive affirmations are very helpful to help you stay on track. When the challenges of confidence arise, tell yourself how amazing you are and how you can do this. Remind yourself that you are valid and worthy of being great. Even though you may not be fully knowledgeable about what you have going on, it’s perfectly fine to learn along the way. Just remember to speak things into existence. You’d be surprised how powerful your words are.

3. Stop comparing yourself to others.

Everyone is not on the same path and just because it didn’t work for one person does not mean that it will not work for you. Put yourself in your own lane and go at your pace. Make sure your only competition is yourself!!

4. Surround yourself with positive people.

We all need a reminder sometimes that we are doing well and having someone to give you positive feedback when needed is a good confidence booster. You don’t want a yes man, though!! You don’t want someone that will always tell you everything you do or say is good, but you do want someone that will build you up when needed.

5. Stop feeling like you have to be validated by others.

Don’t feel like you have to be liked and approved by others. Be confident in you and know that others validation is not needed. At times, you have to remind yourself of this, it may take a little time to achieve this step, but you keep telling yourself you are good enough and worth it all. And if someone doesn’t like it, that’s their problem, not yours.

6. Be okay knowing that your cup of coffee is not for everyone.

You can’t please everyone. But there is one person you can please….YOURSELF. Work hard to be great and the people that rock with you will genuinely like you for the person you are. And all the others that don’t, that’s okay, because your ideas, thoughts and services may not be for everyone, but I guarantee you there are all important for someone.
