Back To School Shopping On A Budget

The count down has began and it is officially back to school time. Time to get the kids together and tackle the back to school shopping. But school shopping doesn’t have to be stressful or break the bank. Here are a few ways to save money while you are getting the kids ready for the new school year.

Dollar Tree for school supplies

Dollar Tree is a great place to pick up school supplies. Get the school supply list and fill up the cart with all the items needed. We were able to get all the items on the kid’s list. And I was impressed because they have Crayola crayons, so not only do you get a good deal, you also get the best brands. We were able to get all the items on all 3 kid’s school supply list and only spent $97.00 in total. You can’t beat that. And for all the homeschooling moms, I haven’t forgot about you. Even though, you may not have a specific list, school supplies are still needed. Click here for the post I wrote that includes all the essential supplies for the homeschool student.

Once Upon A Child For school clothes

Now, I will be honest, I used to be the parent that said, “Oh no, I will not have my kids in second hand, thrift clothes.” Until my sister bought my kids a bunch of clothes with tags on them. I was like oh, thanks, you went shopping and she said yes, at the second hand store. I was in disbelief that you could get such nice items at a second hand store. So, Once Upon A Child is a parent’s dream. Nice, brand new or gently used items that will not break your bank. This store is great because the kids grow out of clothes so fast, sometimes it’s not worth spending all of that money for them to wear only a few times.

Outlets For school shoes

School shoes are essential and there are places you can shop that won’t have you spending all your money. Shoe outlets will help you save a lot of money, especially if you have multiple feet to buy for. Nike, Converse, Puma, and Adidas all have outlets that will allow you to benefit from discount prices. Famous footwear and shoe carnival can also help you save a pretty penny.

Don’t allow school shopping to break the bank, because you can find some really good deals if you go to the right spots.

I pray you and your students have an amazing upcoming school year.
