How To Let The Kids Help In The Kitchen
Happy November Mommy!! We are definitely now in holiday season! It’s time to start planning and celebrating the time with family and friends while making memories. Although the holidays may look different this year, there are other ways to make things memorable. Chef Ashley Shep is back on the blog today to tell us how to let others help you out in the kitchen. She has great tips on how to let the kids help as well and how to get your partner involved in the kitchen.

Chef Ashley Shep….
Thanks to COVID (aka Ms. Rona as I call it), the holidays may look a little differently this year…and maybe next year. That means a couple of things will likely also be different.
- Maybe you’re only making your favorites…and skipping the stuff you don’t want.
- Maybe one family member is making meals for everyone else to have to go plates to enjoy over zoom
- Maybe you’re the one making all the food and you haven’t ever before
Either way, you’ll likely need an extra set of hands this holiday season. And maybe you’re one of those folks who think there should only be one chef in the kitchen, but the holidays are a great time to bond with your kids while also teaching them life lessons. During weeknights, you probably don’t have a ton of time to stop and teach them how to cook or even let them help you. But since many folks are off, it’s a wonderful time to slow things down and create some family memories.
Covid unfortunately is making it trickier for us to spend time together with those that we love in our extended family. At the same time, you might be needing a break from your immediate family. (Hey, just being honest! There’s nothing wrong with that.)
Check out these two links below to catch me sharing more ways that you can let your kids or your partner help you in the kitchen, even if you’re doing all the cooking. I promise the tips are quick, easy, and actionable ones you can use even when it’s not the holidays. Take your pick from the options below of who you want to help you out this holiday season.
