Things Moms Need For Themselves While Back To School Shopping.
The time is here!! It’s back to school. Let the crazy shopping, planning and organization begin. As moms, we are always making sure we have it all together for our kiddos, but we can’t forget about ourselves. As we are checking off all of their needed items, be sure to pick up some things for yourself. Here are a few items that you probably didn’t know you needed, but would definitely help with your transition back into the school year.
Wake Up Before The Kids
It has been proven that waking up an hour earlier than your kids is a game changer. Being able to allow yourself to have quiet time, quality time and me time is always needed. Preparing yourself for the day without kids around can really set the tone for a successful morning. This can include prayer, meal prepping, journaling, beauty routines, having your favorite cup of coffee and other helpful things to start your day. Below are a few items that can help with your early morning routine.

Organization is Key For Back to School
Once the kids are up, the fun begins. Organization is key. Having things in place to help your kids get dressed and knowing where everything is will take a lot of the hassle out of the morning. It’s also been proven that kids perform better when they have a set schedule and know what to expect for the day. So, having a calendar that can help keep track of all the daily and weekly activities will definitely help you and the kids stay organized.
Once the kids return home from school, the fun begins again. Now, its time for homework, dinner, and prepping for the next day. Make dinner easier on yourself and allow the crockpot to do all the work. This thing is a God send. It helps to relieve spending time over the stove and makes things so much easier because you can get other things done, while dinner is still cooking.
Self Care Is Important
Once the kids are sleep and the day has settled down, don’t forget to get in a little self care for yourself. That could be a warm bubble bath, listening to music, cuddling up on the couch to watch your favorite movie or reading a good book. Whatever it is that you enjoy, make sure you make time for it.
I hope you and your kids have an amazing school year and I hope this post reminds you to include yourself in all the back to school shopping because this is a new start for you too.
